COURSE DESCRIPTION

The training provided in the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC) prepares students with beginner level knowledge on the responsibilities of possessing and using restricted firearms, their safe use and handling as well as storage of firearms and ammunition. This course requires successful completion of the CFSC course to participate. The CRFSC ONLY course & test normally takes about 8-hours to complete.

• Ammunition types and storage
• Operating handgun action types
• Safe handling procedures
• Responsibilities of the firearms owner/user
• Safe storage, display, transportation, and handling of firearms

PREREQUESITES

• Previous completion of CFSC course & test, or a valid non-restricted firearms license.
• You must be over the age of 18-years to apply for PAL with restricted privilege (R-PAL)
• Minors may take the CRFSC course for educational purposes only with parental consent, but they will be required to retake the CRFSC course & test, after their 18th birthday, in order to apply for a PAL with the Restricted privilege (R-PAL).   CRFSC Examinations are not allowed to be administered to anyone under the age of 18-years old.

COURSE COST

The cost of the CRFSC course & tests (per person) is $176.99 + HST = $200.00.

COURSE LOCATION

Our CRFSC courses are held at our Oxford Station training facility, which is located at: 9149 Smith Road, Oxford Station, Ontario. K0G 1T0. SCHEDULING OPTIONS

Our CRFSC courses are available as a 1-day, 2-day or 3-evening option.  We offer courses during the midweek and/or on the weekends. Seating availability can change on daily basis, as seats are being sold and some of our course dates can sell out very quickly. To learn which course dates we have available at this time, please contact us, let us know which course you are interested in, and we will e-mail you a list of available course dates & times that you may choose from.

HOW TO REGISTER

Prior to registering for any course date with us, you will be provided with an “IFS-INFO Sheet to review. This document provides answers to the most commonly asked questions, and further explains the terms & conditions of registering for a course with us.

To purchase a seat in any of our CRFSC course dates, a non-refundable deposit is required by E-transfer at time of booking.

Once your e-transfer has been received and processed, you will receive an e-mail informing you that your e-transfer was successfully completed, and that your seat in the class has been CONFIRMED.

Please allow up to 24-hours to receive your confirmation notice.

REFUNDS & RESCHEDULES

Similar to purchasing a concert ticket or any “reserved seating” event, please know that all seat sales are final. Should you miss your course date for any reason, you will not be entitled to receive a refund or reschedule of your course date. However, should you be unable to attend your course date for any reason, you are free to gift or transfer your seat reservation to another person.
